Levittown School District Solar Installation: Project Launch

August 9, 2024

Sunrise Power Solutions is excited to announce a new project, in collaboration with Johnson Controls, to introduce sustainable solar energy systems at several schools throughout the Levittown School District! These installations will showcase the district’s commitment to pioneering the use of renewable, clean energy within their facilities and set a lead example for other districts throughout Long Island.

Seven schools within the Levittown School District will be installing carport canopy solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. These installations will provide a multitude of services for each location, generating energy to reduce and eliminate the facility's need for energy from nonrenewable sources, being a proud display of the district's commitment towards a sustainable, and protecting the vehicles of students and faculty alike from inclement weather. The seven schools to be installing these carports are as follows:

  • Division Avenue High School with a 429.52 kilowatt (kW) DC system
  • General Douglas MacArthur High School with a 575.25 kW DC system
  • Wisdom Lane Middle School with a 343.38 kW DC system
  • The Levittown Memorial Education Center with a 437.78 kW DC system
  • Abbey Lane Elementary School with a 283.20 kW DC system
  • Gardiners Avenue Elementary School with a 194.70 kW DC system
  • Summit Lane Elementary School with a 251.34 kW DC system

The team at Sunrise is ecstatic to conduct these installations for the Levittown School District. The diligent coordination from Johnson Controls remains a key factor in our swift and efficient installations. We look forward to completing and observing the final product of this wonderful project!
