Manhasset School District Solar Installation: Project Launch

July 12, 2024

Sunrise Power Solutions is pleased to unveil its newest initiative, in coordination with Johnson Controls, aimed at implementing sustainable solar energy systems across three schools in the Manhasset School District. These installations will highlight the Manhasset School District's stride towards setting a new standard for utilizing renewable, clean energy at their facilities.

The new project will install rooftop photovoltaic (PV) solar systems onto Manhasset Secondary School, Munsey Park Elementary School, and Shelter Rock Elementary School. At Manhasset Secondary School, a system size of 410.10 kilowatts (kW) DC will be installed, with Munsey Park Elementary School and Shelter Rock Elementary School projected to install systems of 74.88 kW DC and 292.32 kW DC, respectively. These system sizes will ensure each school can utilize a source of renewable energy to meet their daily electrical needs, setting them a step above for reducing their impact on the environment.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Johnson Controls for their unwavering support and expertise to assist with this project. The 15-year partnership between Sunrise Power Solutions and Johnson Controls has brought new paths towards innovation within the renewable energy sector, enabling us to provide cutting-edge solutions to our clients.
